Moreover, special Timed Research tasks will be available, offering exciting rewards through in-game challenges. And for those wishing to engage more deeply, a $5 ticket can be purchased for access to these added benefits.
Pokémon Go Fest 2024
The highlight of July will undoubtedly be the Pokémon Go Fest 2024, set for July 13 and 14. This global event will follow a familiar format, featuring rotating habitats that change every hour. Trainers can expect a dynamic array of wild Pokémon to capture, along with rotating Field Research tasks available at PokeStops. Special Pokémon, including the iconic scarf-wearing Espeon and Umbreon, will also be appearing in raids.
The second day of the event will differ by not offering rotating habitats but will provide a chance to encounter all the wild Pokémon from Day 1 again. Additional bonuses—such as extended Lure Module durations and surprises during snapshots—will enhance the gameplay experience. Those purchasing a Go Fest ticket will also unlock special features, including an exclusive Special Research quest leading to an encounter with the mythical Pokémon Marshadow, available for $15 through in-game purchases.
Community Day Celebration
Mark your calendars for July 21, as this day is dedicated to Community Day, featuring the electric Pokémon Tynamo as the star. Running from 2 PM to 5 PM local time, players will see Tynamo appear more frequently in the wild, with an elevated chance to catch a Shiny version. To make this Community Day even more enticing, bonuses will come in various forms: Lure Modules, along with Incense, will last for three hours, and trainers will earn double candy for Pokémon catches.
Moreover, any eggs placed in incubators during this event will hatch at a quarter of the typical distance. Additionally, Tynamo's evolved form, Eelektross, will have access to the special Fast Attack Volt Switch, available to any Eelektrik evolved until 10 PM local time on that date.
Strength of Steel Event
From July 25 to July 30, Pokémon Go will celebrate the Strength of Steel event, highlighting steel-type creatures. Trainers will have an opportunity to encounter strong steel-type Pokémon, including Beldum, Bronzor, and Togedemaru, which may also appear in shiny form for the first time. In addition to the increased spawns, unique Field Research tasks will be up for grabs, furthering trainers' chances of encountering sought-after steel Pokémon such as Scizor, Steelix, and Aggron. The event will also include themed Collection Challenges, Timed Research tasks, and rewards such as triple Stardust for Pokémon catches along with extra candy for achieving Nice Throws.
Mega Lucario Raid Day
The last Ultra Unlock event for July, scheduled for Saturday, July 27, is an exciting Mega Lucario Raid Day. From 11 AM to 5 PM local time, trainers will have the chance to face this powerful Mega Pokémon as a raid boss. Successful captures will result in Mega Lucario knowing the fighting-type Fast Attack Force Palm. Additionally, players can enjoy numerous bonuses during this thrilling event, including 1.5 times the usual XP from raids and up to five free Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms. An optional paid event ticket will also grant exclusive perks such as additional Raid Passes and increased rewards upon completing raids.
