Pro League of Legends player Rekkles shares reasons for departing the European professional scene

It's been an eventful off-season for League of Legends, but among the most unexpected developments is Rekkles' decision to join T1 in 2024, opting to leave Europe behind.

During a conversation with Daily Esports, Rekkles explained his motivations for moving and why he didn't stay with Europe's LEC. "Since Becker contacted me in mid-October, the idea of becoming part of T1 has filled me with excitement. Around that time, other teams also approached me, but after talking to Becker, the opportunity with T1 felt like a challenge I couldn't resist. I believe I'm always eager to embrace new opportunities or challenges," he shared.

Reflecting on his previous concerns in the European league, Rekkles added, "Back when I was with Karmine Corp in 2022, issues with league management and negative attitudes from certain teams were a concern. The situation is different here because all involved teams are part of the LCK and maintain a professional standard."
